His background includes service as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the King County Prosecutor’s Office and leadership roles in the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, where he directed complex criminal investigations statewide. He has tried approximately 200 cases and taught forensics, criminal procedure, and investigations at the University of Washington from 2002 to 2018.
