Kiernan Waters is an Annapolis, Maryland estate planning attorney serving seniors and caregivers, individuals with special needs, baby boomers, and young families. Since 2016, she has helped clients design and implement foundational plans, including Wills, Revocable Living Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Directives for Health Care. Her planning work addresses probate avoidance, asset protection, blended family considerations, charitable giving, tax planning, business succession, special needs trusts, and trusts for minor children.
She is a member of the Estate Planning Councils of Annapolis and Baltimore, the Maryland Bar Association, and the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. Her community service includes Law Day and Wills for Heroes, as well as committee roles with the Anne Arundel County Walk to End Alzheimer’s and the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation’s Building Traditions Society. She is also a contributing writer for Practical Law, a Thomson Reuters company.
Waters earned a B.A. from Salisbury University (Bellevance Honors Program) and a dual J.D./M.P.A. from the University of Baltimore, where she was active in the Student Bar Association, served as Vice Justice of Phi Alpha Delta, and was named Student Leader of the Year in 2014.
