About
I bring almost twenty years of legal experience to every family law matter I handle, including four years as a criminal prosecutor with the State Attorney's Office for Florida's 13th Judicial Circuit in Tampa and, since 2011, extensive family defense work in Massachusetts representing parents in DCF child-removal cases involving domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental health issues.
At Grantham O'Brien Law, I represent clients across Middlesex and Essex Counties in divorce, child custody, child support, and prenuptial agreements. That background gives me particular strength in cases that other family law attorneys are less equipped to handle — a high-conflict divorce, a custody dispute with a difficult opposing party, or a domestic violence protective order (209A) matter — but it applies to every case I take on: I know how to read people, anticipate how a dispute will escalate, and build a strategy around the specific people and circumstances involved rather than a standard playbook.
As a sole practitioner, you work directly with me — not an associate — from intake through resolution.
I'm admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Florida, and I am based in Chelmsford, Massachusetts. I offer consultations virtually and in-person.
