About
Prosecuting Attorneys’ Council of Georgia (PACGA) is an agency of the Judicial Branch of Georgia, established in 1975 and based in Morrow, GA. It serves as the statewide resource and support organization for Georgia’s district attorneys, solicitors-general, and their staffs. PACGA delivers training and professional development through a year-round calendar of conferences and specialized courses, including programs on cellular analysis, family violence, animal fighting investigations, and the “Lethal Weapon” impaired driving course conducted with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. It also operates the Transition Into Prosecution Program for new prosecutors.
The Council publishes practical resources such as the CaseLaw Update, FYI Newsletter, and Grand Jury Handbook, and compiles legislative updates from the Georgia General Assembly. Operational support includes asset forfeiture reporting, conflicts of interest guidance, standardized forms, municipal prosecuting attorneys’ registration, and victim assistance information. PACGA maintains a public “Find Your Prosecutor” directory and posts employment opportunities from across the prosecution community.
With administrative, legal, training, IT, fiscal, human resources, and victim services teams, PACGA equips prosecutors with tools to uphold Georgia law and serve communities statewide.
